The Center for European Studies (CES) at Boğaziçi University was founded in 2000. CES aims to provide an academic and intellectual forum on multiple aspects of the European integration process with an emphasis on the accession of Turkey.

CES promotes academic research by assisting university staff in project formulation and search for funding. CES also organizes conferences, seminars and lectures, open to the public, as well as workshops for experts.        

Information about these activities and selected academic papers by CES staff on European integration and European-Turkish relations are available on this web site, under the headings of Activities and Events , Publications and Recent Papers . Responses and feedback are welcome. CES is also placing on its web page papers by students. These papers aim to promote debate among interested students and faculty and they can be found under Student Papers. On this web page you can also find the Annual Reports about our activities.

CES is associated with the M.A. Program in European Studies – MAPES.
